The 26 Project
Location
Description
The 26 Project logo needed to be bold and fairly broad considering the possibilities. Its serif typeface was chosen for its similarity to the bold type used on alphabet blocks. Likewise, the logo was designed to be simple so as to not be in conflict with the flamboyant nature of the music featured on the blog.

Garden State Offshore Energy, PSEG (proposed)
Location
Newark, NJ
Description
This identity is a redesign from one that began as a seal. The shape of New Jersey's outline was not entirely recognizable and likened to a splash of paint. When approaching the project, I chose to go for the actual representation of the product in an iconic way. The GSOE logo is still in its final review.

The Next Big Thing Downtown, in conjunction with TriMet
Location
Portland, OR
Description
NBTD's identity was to be a departure from the TriMet brand–something a bit more contemporary and fun. Beginning the outreach from scratch, the ideal route for this logo was a typographic treatment. The "X" began as an element that suggested the crossing of rail lines, but The Next Big Thing Downtown encompassed more than the installation of new light rail. Once created, the "X" was used as a branding element to support events in the mall's renovation.

In creating the WSO identity, the goal was to end up with something less reserved than everything else in D.C. "Whimsical" and "nostalgic" were used to describe the desired feeling.
